Notice the wireless mic attached to the robot. They had one on every robot and
played what each robot was saying over large speakers at each corner of the contest ring.
You can imagine how that sounded and how it interfered with voice recognition. My voice
recognition system was not working correctly during the contest due to a simple, stupid
software bug (never tweak working code at the last minute). I am convinced the SensoryInc
Fluent Speech software would have worked reliably even in that terribly noisy contest
environment.
